In April 2018, myself and my best friend Jarnisa (jay.damsel) hosted our first event, Ladies Love Pop Ups. This event was aimed for women who had their own small business. We wanted to give them an event where these women could promote, sell, and network. The event took place at Ohmie's, a very welcoming coffee shop and yoga studio. It was a gorgeous day, the women were warm, and the love was felt all over.

There were vendors from New Jersey, New York and Pennsylvania. Ladies enjoyed shopping and getting henna art done. Special thanks to ConsignmentbyWinter, CandyFlavas, Imperfection Art, Anyae's Intimate Apparel, Delicate Savage, Wonder Curl, Elevated Thrift, Simply GVO, Solidify'd for participating in our first event. Thank you to Margaret for the beautiful henna and photos.

As a result, I would say what I learned from the first event is to not have any expectations and to soak it all in, instead of worrying. Once I settled and got a chance to speak to a few ladies, we exchanged our personal stories and it was truly inspirational.
